Basketball

So after almost an entire week off from school Austin got to see a bunch of class mates and finally got to play some basketball! The boys only went to school on Thursday and they had Friday off as well so it was a long week!!! It is a challenge to keep them all entertained all the time!!! I have no idea what summer is going to be like! He was not really into playing at first and then he had to switch out and so I got him sitting on the chairs.......he wasn't to happy at that but he knows that everyone needs a turn to play....I am going to buy a better camera as well because half the pictures ended up as blurs.....so hopefully next weeks game pics will be better!

After he got back in the game he was bound and determined to get the basketball again! (I told him he needed to keep his hands to himself because he likes to push them away from the ball and get it that way! but after I explained he could get the ball without pushing people over he got really excited!) Well he kinda got to excited and he is standing waiting for the kid that he knocked over shoot free throws! After that he was more careful about how he got the ball! It is funny to watch the team play...he can't shoot as well as the other boys but he gets the ball about 95% of the time.....I think most of the opposing team underestimates his size and then they don't have a ball anymore and after a few rounds of losing the ball they watch him more carefully!! So everytime he would steal the ball away he would pass it and his team would score!!! They won again but we are not suppose to keep score! ha! yea right! The score was 12 to 6....they had a blast and enjoyed it so that is all that really matters!:) Well Roy didn't enjoy it to much...he is upset because he has to wait to play.....he has to be 6 so he has another year to go before he can join up....so he isn't to excited to watch while Austin plays....I told him that he will get his chance and then Courtney will be the one up here saying she doesn't want to watch her brothers play while she can't! He said that he would let her play even if she is to little!!! What a sweet boy! well most the time!

Snow day!

So the kids woke up and saw some snow falling...it wasn't sticking at the time but a few hours later and we actually had about 3 inches of snow!!!! of course it snows out here every once in a while not like when we first moved to Cali and it snowed a LOT! it is funny seeing snow in a desert.....but it is also funny seeing it on the coast where no one knows how to drive in it except for some military!!! so we stayed home all day to avoid the accidents that happened out in town and the kids had a blast!!!! They rolled around in it, ate some, made snow balls, and even a snow man....he wasn't huge and the camera died before I got a pic of it but it was still cute!:) Courtney is making a snow angel....she tried and did good several times but she keep running over them before I got pictures of the final product so I took on of her as she threw herself back!!! she really hit hard and bounced but just laughed!!!! I am glad that she is so hard headed sometimes!!! it really has saved her life!!:) haha!!

Austin made a snow angel with hands, feet, hair and a wand.....don't know what the wand is for but he said that it needed it....

Here are some of Roy and Courtney's snow angel's....they loved to take the snow and throw it at each other....it was funny...

The snow finally melted today but they got to play in it longer today than they did yesterday (tues the 20th) and when they came in I made hot chocolate and grilled cheese sandwiches! They loved it.....they also had to be thawed out so they all snuggled with me uner a blanket and keep me frozen while they warmed up!!!!

Austin spying

So while Roy and Courntey were riding their bikes Austin and his friend decided they wanted to spy on everyone that was outside....They weren't very good at it but they did have fun....
They really loved hiding behind the trees in our yard and trying to sneak up on the neighbor kids playing on the other side of this tree....

After a while they quit and wanted to play tag....they were moving to fast to get a good pic even with the motion setting!!! At least we know he runs like his daddy!!!:) After a while of constant back and forth tagging....they are both really fast.....they added a twist and made the person that was it act like an animal!!! I think he is trying to be a wolf or bear.....not sure he just growled when I asked what he was!!! at least he did good talking like what ever animal he was!!!:)

Needless to say all three kids sleep pretty good and woke up to a suprise!!!:)

Riding bikes

So this was Roys first time to ride his bike with no help at all!!!! It is on his old one but hopefully he will keep growing into the one Santa got him...He was so excited and was having so much fun!!! Austin helped him start out at first and showed him how to start off with the pedals and then he just took off!!!! It is funny because when he first got his bike back in 2007 he was almost out of the training wheels and then he just quit so we had to start all over it was SO frusturating and then he just goes out there and does it one day!!! kids!!! they drive me crazy!!!:)

Courtney loves her princess bike and will stay on it all day if we let her....she hate to get off of it for any reason at all and would love to take it everywhere!!!!

They both of course, found the big, deep water puddle and decided to ride straight for it...I had to help them both out of it several times but at least they enjoyed themselves....it wasn't to cold either only about 45 degrees!!:)

Here is a picture of Roy getting stuck....He was trying so hard to turn and include the water puddle in his circle that he got stuck but eventually worked his way out!!

I noticed he didn't have a helmet on so I had to stop him and make him put it on....he didn't even put his on but Austins!!! well at least their heads are the same size so it fit just fine!!!!

Staying busy

So to pass the time while Chris is gone we do alot of basketball for Austin....This is taken at one of his games...they don't keep score offically but the Raptors (their team) kicked some major tail!!!! I think the other team got about 4 baskets while they got about 12!! Austin loves basketball though he plays more of a football basketball cross he still has a blast and loves every minute of it!!!!
Here the kids are at the school gym...practice was cancled so we went and shot some hoops....Austin is getting really good at making the baskets now...he is also showing his brother how to shot as well...Roy gets upset because the ball doesn't quite make it to the hoop but he still keeps trying!!:) Courtney just runs around in circles while they play...It is rather funny watching her make herself dizzy and then falling down...I know that sounds mean but she loves every minute of it even when she gets hurt she fake crys and then does it all over again all in less than 8 seconds!!!! as long as she is still going I won't bother with it to much!!! Roy was also dribbling while we were playing.....he is getting really good at it for a four year old and he is so excited to show it off!!!

Saying bye

So we all went to drop Chris off at the bus and we all had to say our goodbye's to our friends as well....
Once they got started loading it didn't take them long to get everyone in formation to leave...

Roy was exceptionally good at playing kung fu panda while we were waiting.......the kids all sat down and had a good talk with daddy before he left....

We also made plenty of trips to the bathroom for the little ones....they thought it would be great to drink all their juice before we got to the barracks!

All the kids gave their last hugs to daddy before he left....It was really hard to watch him go and Roy understood more this time and they boys didn't handle it to well....they really miss their daddy!

one last picture of them before he heads off to the bus!!

I got a shot of him on the bus he is the one standing by the driver.... then he picked the second window to sit next to so we all sat down and waved at him until the buses left.....How we miss him!!!:(

Day before leaving

So we ended the day with a tea party hosted by Ms. Corki Beth. She served us juice and granola bars....yummy!!! But we should go through the last full day we had with Chris....

We all woke up and at some brunch....we actually got to sleep in thanks to the kiddos!!:) then all 4 of my kids decided to play with the transformers they got for Christmas! It was funny watching three boys work on one and a little girl work on hers and finish before they did!!!

here is the proof that they were making it more complicated than it should have been!!! all three had a piece of it to see how it worked! Chris doesn't believe in reading directions....

So after Corki was done she started to dance for us and twirl around....She LOVES to dance and spin around...

After they FINALLY got the transformer together we headed out on a shopping spree to get some last minute items for Chris....since he likes to wait last minute it worked out well for him!!! All the kids got to take a turn on daddy's lap behind the steering wheel and pretend to drive! They all had fun!

Roy is really interested in driving but can't keep his attention focused enough on one thing!!! acts just like his daddy!!!

Corki takes her bunny with her everywhere and made sure that he was in the picture with them and even though she is squashing his face she made sure he said cheese as well!!!

Ms. Courtney was setting up her tea party and had a blast getting it together the juice and the granola bars were good and she loves her new tea party set Santa gave her...It is princess' which she refers to as princess p....no matter if it is Snow White or Cinderella!! It was a great day and we made a lot of memories....
